What’s On My Playlist? The Grammys Edition

Share

I’m not much of a club scene girl, but I do love music and I love to dance! And, I’m very much looking forward to this year’s Grammys show — if for nothing else, I can’t wait to see the wacky and cutting-edge fashions that musicians dare to wear!

To prepare myself for the Grammys, I asked DJ Manero to give me his Top 10 list of songs that I should listen to before the big show on Feb. 10, 2013.

He’s so cool…he hit me up with twelve. Thanks, friend! Here’s the playlist that he created exclusively for me (he had to tone down his original playlist because I couldn’t handle the full force of his recommendations).

  1. Miguel – “Adorn”
  2. SWV – “If Only You Knew”
  3. Frank Ocean – “Thinkin’ About You”
  4. Adele – “Set Fire To The Rain (Live)”
  5. Gotye featuring Kimbra – “Somebody That I Used To Know”
  6. Fun. – “We Are Young”
  7. Calvin Harris featuring Ne-Yo – “Let’s Go”
  8. Rihanna featuring Jay-Z – “Talk That Talk”
  9. Coldplay – “Hurts Like Heaven”
  10. The Black Keys – “Gold On The Ceiling”
  11. M83 – “Midnight City”
  12. Jay-Z & Kanye West featuring Frank Ocean & The Dream – “No Church in the Wild”

From the above playlist, let me know who you think will take home some Grammy hardware!

About DJ Manero

Roman Grandinetti (a.k.a. DJ Manero) grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He gained his DJ name from John Travolta’s character, Tony Manero, in Saturday Night Fever, due to his uncanny resemblance in personality and signature hairdo. He began djing in clubs in New York City, which led to gigs in Los Angeles, Ibiza, London and Miami, playing for celebrities like Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Kid Cudi, Mary J. Blige, Pink, Rihanna and Robin Thicke.
