Living the Suite Life at the Carlton Hotel

Since I moved to New York, I have made my home away from home at the Carlton Hotel. It’s been my dream palace for the past few months. It is where I work, play, eat and live life to the fullest! Since moving into the Broadway Diva Suite (how appropriate, I know!), I have come to rely on the professional expertise of Mr. Carlton, the hotel’s butler, concierge, host, manager…and my new best friend. He knows New York City like the back of his hand. In fact, when I ask him a question, he literally says, “Talk to my hand!” I honestly don’t know what that’s all about, but he really has been a gem to me. I wanted to publicly thank him for the kindness he has shown to me as I adapt to life in the big, bright city and introduce him to all my online friends. Without further adieu, meet Carlton!

Olive: How long have you worked at the Carlton?

Carlton: I have been here as long as I can remember!

Olive: Are you originally from New York?

Carlton: Yes, I am a native New Yorker through and through.

Olive: What are your favorite places to see/visit in NYC?

Carlton: The “Made in USA Fashion Show” on April 23rd in the lobby of the Carlton is one event that comes to mind.

Olive: Of course! That fashion event is being hosted by Caravan Stylist Studio, so you know I’ll be there! Mixing work and pleasure is my favorite pastime.

Olive: When you are not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?

Carlton: Travel and play poker in the Carlton’s Speakeasy Suite!

Olive: I love to travel, but I’m a sore loser! Did you have anything to do with getting me into the Broadway Diva Suite? Be honest!

Carlton: I’ll never tell. But, I will say this…You and that suite are a match made in Broadway heaven!

Carlton: Outside the Carlton Hotel as our doormen are the best in town!

Olive: I’ll have to keep them in mind the next time it’s raining!

Carlton, I can’t thank you enough for all the kindness you have shown me. You are the treasure I found on this big island of hopes and dreams.

Carlton: It’s been my pleasure to be at your service, my dear Olive!
