Olive Loves: Michelle Vale Handbags

New York City handbag designer, Michelle Vale, is a busy woman. Her mission to change the way women experience luxury handbags is a full-time pursuit and passion. Most recently, Michelle Vale Inc. unveiled its “Michelle Vale for Audi Leather Tote Collection.” Custom-made for Audi, these beautiful black and silver leather totes were designed and made in New York like all of her handbags. I caught up with Michelle and she shared with me what she loves most about living and building a brand in New York, how to “Make It in Manhattan” and the two Kates who are fans of her handbags. Count me among her loyal fans!

Olive Loves: Boy Meets Girl

New York Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow, Sept. 5th and runs through Sept. 12, 2013. One of the Spring 2014 collections that I can’t wait to see is Boy Meets Girl by Stacy Igel.

What is going to make it even more exciting is Boy Meets Girl (BMG) has teamed up with Just Dance for STYLE360 at New York Fashion Week to unveil the BMG collection on Sept. 12!

BMG’s Spring 2014 collection is inspired by the energy and style of Just Dance 2014, the world’s popular dance game. Celebrity guests expected to attend the BMG show and walk the runway include: actress Brittany Snow and tennis player Sloane Stephens. Plus, Austin Mahone will perform live during the show! If that isn’t enough to get my heart racing, then I really don’t know what will!

I spoke with Stacy Igel about what fans of Boy Meets Girl can expect during her Fashion Week show. Here’s what she had to say…

Olive Oyl Gets “Hot Under the Collar” in August Issue of ELLE

Featured in the August issue of ELLE magazine (U.S. edition) is a beautifully styled eight page spread of breath-taking Olive Oyl-inspired fashions. From Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Valentino to Alice + Olivia and Ralph Lauren, stylist Beth Fenton perfectly curated a collection of whimsical and nautical-worthy outfits that has me clapping my hands and looking forward to Fall 2013 with glee. What an honor to have model, Clarice Silva Vitkauskas, pose as me too! My cup truly runneth over.
