Spotted in TimeOut New York!

It is hard to be away from family and friends while I am pursuing my dreams in New York. This week, however, I was treated to the most wonderful surprise while standing on line at the grocery store. I saw something on the cover of TimeOut New York that reminded me of someone who loves me for who I am and supports me no matter how far away I am away from him.

Olive Yoga: Interview with Yoga Expert Kathryn Budig

A few weeks ago, I participated in a yoga class called “Seriously Zen” that was taught by yoga expert, Kathryn Budig. After this 50 minute class, I was transformed! I felt lighter and less stressed. I felt more open and the need to keep s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g, both physically and mentally! I reached out to Kathryn via email to thank her for lifting my spirit. She was kind and gracious to answer several questions that I included in my thank you note. For those of you who haven’t heard of Kathryn, she is an an international yoga teacher and writer who created Aim True Yoga and co-founded of Poses for Paws. She has been featured in Yoga Journal, Women’s Health, The New York Times, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal…and now she can even add to her extensive media list.

Olive Loves: Sweet Generation Bakes Cupcakes for a Cause

As Women’s History Month draws to a close, I would like to introduce you to Amy Chasan, the founder and chief do-gooder of Sweet Generation, an online custom bakery. But, Sweet Generation is more than just a bakery! Amy and her team generate funds to increase access to Arts Education for children. In fact, a portion of every sale is donated to Arts Education, so customers are literally Helping With Every Helping! Amy believes that cupcakes and craftiness can save the world. After one look at her artistic cupcakes, I can’t argue with her. She is helping to promote the importance of Arts Education, one delicious cupcake (and warm batch of cookies) at a time.
